Okay, I don't know how they fooled me, but I definitely should have double checked that one. I mean how on earth did that rooster get in there? It did seam a little odd to me that Denyse would use a roosters in one of her fabrics, but the ladies added it to my pile and cut a half yard for me. Now that I'm home and petting my fabric, I noticed that it is NOT a DS Quilts fabric, but some other goon named Henry!
So, my bad. There are 21 prints of the DS Quilts fabric at JoAnn's. 11 of the Picnics and 10 of the Fairgrounds. Can't wait to cut and piece together my first quilt.
Off to dreamland...nighty night.

DS Quilts Fetish
Just to share with you my High + Low. After reading this post, I jumped in the car with my 2 yr old son and drove 35 minutes to Joann’s. Sat and waited 15 minutes in the car for my son to wake up. Ran in the store…and there it was! The whole collection. I was the first to see its beauty, it was on its way to the shelves. I reached in my diaper bag and…NOOOO! I forgot my wallet! I wanted to cry. That was yesterday.
But this morning I printed out my coupons and clipped out my paper coupons and headed out the door at 9am to beat the rush of customers all with the same fetish for Denyse Schmidt (DS Quilts) and there it was!!! But not all of it. I went to my lame closer store. I got 19 prints here, then quickly grabbed a few more instore coupons and headed out the door to Joann's ECT. store (the one I went to yesterday). And low and behold, another 3 prints I didn't see at the other store. SO... 22 prints is what I have.
22 Marvelous Prints!
I think there may be more to come. The Joann's (the small closer one) says that they sometimes, but most often get collections over a few weeks. Its very rare for them to arrive all at once. So, next week on Wednesday, guess where I'll be checking in. Thats right and for a couple weeks to come. Just in-case more arrive.
OH Happy Day!

Hurry Ba-a-ack
My sister was just visiting over the weekend and I must say, I can't wait to see her again this summer. Our time together is so sweet, but too short. Hoping to get a trip out to her new home before she comes out. It'd be so nice to see her new dwelling space.
As for an update on what I've been working on, well, not much sewing, unfortunately. But hope to dive back in tomorrow. Today consisted of grocery shopping and listing sample products for my granpa on ebay. 24 items to be exact. Hopefully this time next week, the $$$ will be rolling in and I can give my gracious hubby his garage space back.
A little something I saw the other day that makes me hope and dream of someday having a baby girl of my very own, my childhood Holly Hobbie doll cradle. Yes thats right, my mother kept it and recently returned it to me. Of course, my son is playing with it. He put Curious George to sleep in it. So cute. This cradle got me thinking though...I think Holly Hobbie would be a great nursery theme for my baby girl. What do you think? Found these on Etsy:
vintage lunch box
vintage twin sheet set
precious vintage holly hobbie cloth doll (I think we used to have this same one)
I want to buy them all NOW! Is that silly? I mean a daughter is really just a dream at this point.
And so my obsession for prairie/amish/county themed life grows.
Y'all com back now, y'hear!
