Welcome to my blog!  I'm Lindsay and this is where I share about what goes on in my life from sewing to running my home.  I am obviously not Amish, however I really admire the Amish lifestyle.  It is God fearing, modest, simple, and relationship focused.  I'm not trying to become Amish, I am just inspired by them, especially their sewing, and quilting.  I try to be eco-minded, eat healthy, and live life with as few materials as necessary, some of which topics I may post about.

I live in SoCal, just a few blocks from the beach.  Its beautiful here, so its hard to get much sewing done.  I live with my wonderful husband and our adorable son.  I am blessed beyond measure to be a stay-at-home mommy and sew to my heart's content.  Occasionally I sell what I make in my online Simply Mae Shop.

My mom taught me to sew growing up.  I took my first sewing class in junior high, and more in college.  My focus was mostly apparel, but I always wanted to get into quilting.  Sadly the quilters in my family have passed, but have left behind beautiful heirlooms.  Sewing is mostly a solo hobby, and I love to socialize, that said, I began blogging in hopes to build relationships with fellow sewists.  I love spending time with my family and friends, listening to country music, fantasizing about living in the country, on a ranch, hands in the soil, and horses in the fields.  Hey, we all have a dream, right?  Mine...is constantly growing. Beware!
